About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Field Director for the Social Work program, managing student field applications and placements.
- Identify and secure appropriate field sites for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Provide orientation and ongoing support for students and field instructors.
- Maintain continuous communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate the field program to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness.
- Teach at least one course per semester.
- Model the University Mission through dedicated performance and respectful collaboration.
Requirements
- MSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-MSW professional experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to advancing the Department’s goals regarding diversity and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Social Work license.
- Previous experience in higher education and classroom teaching.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
