Assistant Professor, Public Administration

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, with a primary focus on the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program
• Develop and teach courses specializing in local government and city management
• Expand the program's online and hybrid course offerings
• Conduct scholarly research in public administration or related fields
• Advise students and participate in departmental service activities
• Contribute to related undergraduate programs within the School of Social Sciences and International Studies

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Public Administration or a closely related field (must be completed by the start date)
• Experience teaching in a higher education setting
• Demonstrated scholarship in public administration or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience at the graduate level
• Experience developing online courses and academic programs
• Interest in developing interdisciplinary coursework
• Expertise in GIS, non-profit studies, public writing, ethics, civic literacy, or AI and data analytics
• Proven ability to secure external grant funding
