About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach didactic and clinical year students through lectures, laboratories, and small group learning
- Provide remediation instruction to ensure student success and retention
- Review and update PA syllabi and curricula to meet program standards
- Advise students in both didactic and clinical years
- Participate in clinical site visits, student recruitment, and admission selection processes
- Assist with ARC-PA program assessment, data collection, and self-study reports
- Serve on departmental, school, and university committees
Requirements
- NCCPA certification as a Physician Assistant
- Current New York State licensure or eligibility for New York State licensure
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a PA
- Strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting
