Assistant Professor, Physician Assistant Studies

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic and clinical year students through lectures, laboratories, and small group learning
• Provide remediation instruction to ensure student success and retention
• Review and update PA syllabi and curricula to meet program standards
• Advise students in both didactic and clinical years
• Participate in clinical site visits, student recruitment, and admission selection processes
• Assist with ARC-PA program assessment, data collection, and self-study reports
• Serve on departmental, school, and university committees

Requirements

• NCCPA certification as a Physician Assistant
• Current New York State licensure or eligibility for New York State licensure
• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a PA
• Strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting
