About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage research projects as a PI or Co-PI, including conducting literature reviews, data analysis, and preparing progress reports.
  • Operate specialized equipment to support faculty research regarding metabolic and bioenergic changes and mitochondrial function.
  • Develop external project proposals and seek funding from granting agencies and foundations to expand research capacity.
  • Mentor and train students, post-docs, and faculty in metabolic measurement techniques.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications, white papers, and presentations at local and national conferences.

Requirements

  • PhD in Kinesiology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a research or academic setting.
  • Substantial experience in metabolic profiling.
  • Strong academic and research credentials in the field of physiology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of research experience within an academic environment.
  • Research interest in aging and the association between exercise and the prevention of age- and obesity-related cardiometabolic diseases (e.g., type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and sarcopenia).
