Assistant Professor of Professional Practice - Interior Design

Responsibilities

• Teach studios, lecture courses, and seminars within the School of Interior Design
• Contribute to multiple levels of the Interior Design curriculum while promoting design excellence
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and scholarship
• Conduct service work through School, College, and University committees
• Participate in community and professional activities
• Provide student advising and mentoring

Requirements

• Master's degree (terminal degree) in Interior Design or a related field
• Strong record of professional practice in the discipline
• Proven teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• NCIDQ Certification
• Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification
• LEED Accredited Professional and/or WELL Accredited Professional
• Ability to integrate digital design technologies into teaching
• Successful record of previous teaching experience in interior design
