Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of educational materials for laboratories and didactic courses
• Teach pharmacotherapeutics and other areas within the pharmacy curriculum
• Develop and maintain a program of scholarship
• Serve as an active member of assigned college committees
• Serve as a clinical pharmacist in an outpatient clinic or inpatient acute care facility for a minimum of one day per week
• Precept students during their pharmacy practice experiences
• Maintain a commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement

Requirements

• PharmD degree
• Successful completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 accredited residency program, or equivalent experience
• Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the state of South Carolina
• Clinical specialist experience in inpatient or outpatient ambulatory practice
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
