About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach LMU-DCOM approved curriculum through lectures, seminars, and small group discussions
- Lead and facilitate skills labs for residents and students at GME partner institutions
- Design and deliver structured procedural training sessions to enhance clinical competencies
- Provide clinical service, patient care, and bedside teaching for students in clinical settings
- Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of academic programs and courses
- Prepare examination questions and manage course grading
- Participate in scholarly activity and clinical quality assurance
- Serve as a mentor to medical students and demonstrate professional behavior
Requirements
- D.O. or M.D. degree
- Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Board Certification in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM)
- Ability to obtain licensure in Tennessee via the Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination or Tennessee Medical State Board
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical or academic medicine teaching and leadership
- D.O. degree with existing ability to be licensed in Tennessee by the Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination
