About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach LMU-DCOM approved curriculum through lectures, seminars, and small group discussions
  • Lead and facilitate skills labs for residents and students at GME partner institutions
  • Design and deliver structured procedural training sessions to enhance clinical competencies
  • Provide clinical service, patient care, and bedside teaching for students in clinical settings
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of academic programs and courses
  • Prepare examination questions and manage course grading
  • Participate in scholarly activity and clinical quality assurance
  • Serve as a mentor to medical students and demonstrate professional behavior

Requirements

  • D.O. or M.D. degree
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine
  • Board Certification in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM)
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Tennessee via the Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination or Tennessee Medical State Board

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical or academic medicine teaching and leadership
  • D.O. degree with existing ability to be licensed in Tennessee by the Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination
