Assistant Professor of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing students in classroom, simulation, online, and clinical settings
• Engage in an active program of research and scholarship
• Participate in curriculum development and the implementation of evaluation tools to assess student progress
• Engage in service activities within the school, University, the nursing profession, and the community
• Maintain clinical and academic expertise to support student learning outcomes
• Participate in meetings and activities that advance the mission and goals of the Wegmans School of Nursing

Requirements

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution (MS or Doctorate)
• Active unencumbered RN and APRN license in New York State (or ability to obtain by date of hire)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional RN and APRN clinical experience
• State and national certification as an advanced practice nurse

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD or DNP) conferred by the time of hire
• Minimum of 2 years of academic experience in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing education
• Experience with curriculum development, evaluation, and online teaching platforms
• Established record of scholarship, research publications, and service
