Assistant Professor of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing students in classroom, simulation, online, and clinical settings
• Engage in an active program of research and scholarship
• Participate in curriculum development and the implementation of evaluation tools to assess student progress
• Plan student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes
• Engage in service activities within the school, College, the nursing profession, and the community
• Maintain clinical and academic expertise

Requirements

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution (MS or Doctorate)
• Active unencumbered RN and APRN license in New York State (or ability to obtain by date of hire)
• State and national certification as an advanced practice nurse
• Minimum of two years of professional RN and APRN clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD or DNP)
• Two years of academic experience in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing education
• Experience with curriculum development, evaluation, and online teaching
• Established record of scholarship, research publications, and service
