Assistant Professor of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction for the ASN program and RN-BSN program
• Incorporate effective student learning and teaching strategies into all instructional settings
• Develop course schedules, syllabi, and evaluation methods in compliance with university policies
• Participate in Department of Nursing and University committees
• Provide student counseling, advising, and support to ensure academic success
• Manage student compliance with health requirements and maintain office hours

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing
• Two years of clinical experience as a registered nurse
• Active Louisiana RN license or a Multi-State License
• CPR certification
• Ability to obtain a Certified Nurse Educator credential within three years of hire
