Assistant Professor of Microbiology

Responsibilities

• Teach microbiology through lectures, seminars, small group discussions, and clinical assignments
• Design and present integrated course series and prepare examination materials
• Engage in active scholarly research and contribute to the mission of the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of academic programs
• Mentor medical and other students, fostering a professional and respectful learning environment
• Serve on departmental committees and attend faculty meetings
• Maintain accurate student records and academic documentation

Requirements

• Ph.D. in microbiology, immunology, or an appropriate discipline
• At least two years of relevant postdoctoral training
• Evidence of scholarly research activity
