Assistant Professor of Interior Design

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses within the interior design field with a focus on on-campus instruction
• Maintain an active record of professional practice in Interior Design
• Cultivate and strengthen connections with potential students, industry professionals, and professional organizations
• Provide student advising and mentoring
• Engage in scholarship and/or professional activity
• Participate actively in the college, school, and department

Requirements

• Earned degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• Master’s degree, MFA, or PhD (must be earned by the start of the position)
• NCIDQ certification and/or professional license
• Proven professional design experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Record of successful teaching experience
• Experience with the CIDA accreditation process
