Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance - Sport Management

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for the Sport Management major, including topics such as sport marketing, facility management, financial management, and legal aspects.
• Provide academic advising to students within the Health and Human Performance department.
• Support student recruitment, retention, and assessment efforts.
• Mentor and supervise students through the College’s Employment Experiences program and research opportunities.
• Participate in college committee work and support the mission, vision, and values of Bethel College.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in sport management or a related field.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and general technological savvy.
• Strong organizational, management, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks under tight deadlines and stressful situations.
• Demonstrated interest in teaching and working with liberal arts students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
• Experience teaching at the collegiate level.
• Professional experience within the sport industry.
• A history of successful student recruitment at the college level.
