About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach approximately 21 credit hours per year, including core engineering courses, physics courses, and discipline-specific emphasis courses
- Supervise engineering design projects and engage undergraduate students in research opportunities
- Provide academic advising to engineering majors
- Participate actively in the departmental and university community
Requirements
- At least one degree (undergraduate or graduate) in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
- Experience working in interdisciplinary engineering environments
- Experience engaging in fundamental engineering learning experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant engineering discipline
- ABD status or professional licensure
- Experience in active learning and teaching environments
- Demonstrated teaching and industry experience
- Commitment to teaching a diverse population of students and responding to student needs
