About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate skills labs and procedural training sessions for residents and students at GME partner institutions.
- Provide clinical service, patient care, and bedside teaching in clinical settings.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of courses and academic programs within the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Establish curriculum, subject matter, and methods of instruction for medical education.
- Engage in scientific scholarship and participate in scholarly activities.
- Mentor medical and other students, serving as an example of professional behavior and intellectual integrity.
- Participate in clinic quality assurance, faculty meetings, and departmental committees.
Requirements
- D.O. or M.D. degree.
- AOA or ABMS Board Certification or board eligibility.
- Ability to obtain licensure in the state of Tennessee through the Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination or the Tennessee Medical State Board.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical or academic medicine teaching and leadership.
