Responsibilities
- Teach graduate-level courses within the Education department
- Chair dissertations and provide academic advisement to students
- Conduct research, publication, grant development, and creative achievement to fulfill scholarship expectations
- Participate in university, school, and department committees and meetings
- Complete required institutional and program accreditation reports
- Engage in professional development and community service opportunities
- Maintain proper security for University files and follow privacy procedures
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Adult Learning, Curriculum and Instruction, or a similar field
- Dissertation must have served as the culminating product of the doctoral degree
- Evidence of potential for effective teaching
- Evidence of potential for scholarly activity
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience at the higher education level
- Experience serving on dissertation committees or chairing dissertations
- Knowledge of quantitative methodology
