About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach approximately three courses per semester in engineering and engineering technology related to computer engineering
- Maintain an active scholarly research agenda with peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations
- Provide service to the department, college, and university through student advising and recruitment
- Advise student capstone projects and participate in program accreditation processes
- Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence by fostering a vibrant and empowering campus community
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in Computer Engineering or a related discipline (ABDs will be considered with a documented degree completion date)
- Potential for significant scholarly research and professional accomplishments
- Strong commitment to teaching, service, and mentoring students
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to an inclusive and diverse academic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching computer engineering or related disciplines at the undergraduate level
- Demonstrated potential to build an independent research program that includes undergraduate students
- Cisco Certification and applied professional experience in computer networks and communications
- Interest in course and curriculum development, student recruitment, and career preparation
