Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Teach a standard course load of seven courses per year (3-1-3)
• Lead the two-semester general chemistry sequence, including both lecture and laboratory components
• Instruct a 200-level lab-based environmental chemistry course
• Mentor undergraduate students through a program of research and publication
• Participate in the college's interdisciplinary general education program, including a regular rotation in a two-semester first-year course

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemistry
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students

Preferred Qualifications

• Postdoctoral research experience
• Previous teaching experience at the college level
• Research expertise specifically in environmental chemistry
