About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach a standard course load of seven courses per year (3-1-3)
- Lead the two-semester general chemistry sequence, including both lecture and laboratory components
- Instruct a 200-level lab-based environmental chemistry course
- Mentor undergraduate students through a program of research and publication
- Participate in the college's interdisciplinary general education program, including a regular rotation in a two-semester first-year course
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students
Preferred Qualifications
- Postdoctoral research experience
- Previous teaching experience at the college level
- Research expertise specifically in environmental chemistry
