Assistant Professor of Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses including introductory biology, neurobiology, and advanced electives in your area of expertise
• Develop engaging, inquiry-based laboratory experiences tailored to a liberal arts setting
• Establish and maintain an active research program that involves and mentors undergraduate students
• Advise and mentor students to foster their intellectual and professional growth
• Contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives through committee service

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Neuroscience, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring
• Evidence of scholarly productivity with the potential to involve students in research
• Ability to teach broadly across the biology curriculum, including introductory biology

Preferred Qualifications

• Postdoctoral research experience
