Assistant Professor of Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours per academic year, including courses in immunology, virology, epidemiology, cell biology, and introductory biology.
• Manage classroom environments, student assessments, and learning management system usage.
• Mentor students through the Omega project, a senior research or capstone experience.
• Provide academic advising and tutoring to support student success.
• Engage in professional development, scholarship, and the promotion of undergraduate research.
• Serve on various committees within the School, College, and Faculty Senate.

Requirements

• PhD in Biology, Immunology, Epidemiology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Proven teaching experience at the college level.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
