About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach 24 credit hours per academic year, including courses in immunology, virology, epidemiology, cell biology, and introductory biology.
- Manage classroom environments, student assessments, and learning management system usage.
- Mentor students through the Omega project, a senior research or capstone experience.
- Provide academic advising and tutoring to support student success.
- Engage in professional development, scholarship, and the promotion of undergraduate research.
- Serve on various committees within the School, College, and Faculty Senate.
Requirements
- PhD in Biology, Immunology, Epidemiology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Proven teaching experience at the college level.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
