Assistant Professor of Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach approximately seven courses per year following a 3-1-3 format
• Deliver introductory-level courses in Ecology, Evolution, and Diversity
• Develop upper-level courses within your area of expertise
• Conduct hands-on undergraduate research and mentor students
• Participate in the interdisciplinary general education program, including common core courses and first-year seminars
• Seek external funding to establish and maintain an active research program

Requirements

• Ph.D. in the biological sciences
• Expertise in organismal biology, field ecology, and/or wildlife management
• Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student-faculty research

Preferred Qualifications

• Postdoctoral research and teaching experience
• A well-developed research plan that is accessible to undergraduate students
