Assistant Professor of Art

Responsibilities

• Teach ceramics and related 3D disciplines, including Clay, Sculpture, Small Metals/Jewelry, and Three-Dimensional Design
• Instruct Art Appreciation and other courses offered by the Art Program as needed
• Engage in research, scholarly work, and creative achievement
• Support curricular development in collaboration with the Dean’s office and Department Chair
• Assist with student recruitment and the maintenance and upkeep of studio facilities
• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to faculty, staff, students, and the community

Requirements

• Terminal degree (MFA) in Art, specifically in ceramics or a closely related 3D field
• Evidence of effective teaching experience
• Demonstrated scholarly work and creative activity
• Educational preparation that meets the requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)

Preferred Qualifications

• MFA in Art with a specific focus on Ceramics
