Assistant Professor of Art

Responsibilities

• Teach Ceramics and related 3D disciplines, including Clay, Sculpture, Small Metals/Jewelry, and Three-Dimensional Design
• Conduct research and engage in creative achievement/scholarly work
• Participate in curricular development in collaboration with the Dean’s office and Department Chair
• Assist with student recruitment and departmental service
• Manage studio maintenance and upkeep to ensure a functional learning environment
• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to students, faculty, staff, and the community

Requirements

• Terminal degree (MFA) in Art, specifically in Ceramics or a closely related 3D field
• Evidence of effective teaching experience
• Demonstrated scholarly work and creative activity
• Educational preparation that meets the requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)

Preferred Qualifications

• MFA in Art with a specific focus on Ceramics
