Assistant Professor of Aeronautics

Responsibilities

• Teach aeronautics courses including Human Factors, Aviation Safety, Aerodynamics, Aviation Management, and Airline Operations
• Maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs in alignment with the University mission
• Develop curriculum for both residential and distance education environments
• Engage in research, scholarship, or creative activities as required by the college
• Model a personal commitment to a biblically informed Christian worldview in teaching and student engagement

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in aviation-related disciplines
• Commitment to the Christian worldview and the mission of Liberty University

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Aeronautics/Aviation or Av. D. (ABD acceptable)
• Master’s Degree in Aeronautics with aviation-related coursework or research
• 5 or more years of experience in Commercial Airlines, Business Aviation, or Airport Management
• Existing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the aviation industry
