Assistant Professor, Nursing

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses and prepare materials for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs
• Establish and maintain an active research agenda in line with program expectations
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and guidance to nursing students
• Participate in departmental, school, and University committees and service initiatives
• Attend student recruitment events, commencement ceremonies, and other University functions

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in nursing or an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or a multistate license
• Minimum of five years of recent classroom and clinical experience
• Demonstrated evidence of scholarship, such as contributions to professional literature or presentations
• Proven experience in curriculum development and professional clinical practice
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with varied instructional delivery methods
• Knowledge of the AACN Essentials (2021) and competency-based education
