Assistant Professor

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a viable inpatient transitions of care practice at Summa Health System and Akron City Hospital
• Precept pharmacy students (approximately 8 students or 16 student months per year)
• Facilitate campus-based education including workshops, labs, and lectures
• Participate in student admissions interviews, assessments, evaluations, and advising
• Engage in scholarly activities such as clinical/outcomes research, review articles, or case reports
• Present scholarly work at local, regional, and national meetings
• Serve on departmental, College, and University committees
• Participate in structured on-campus faculty development programs

Requirements

• Pharm.D. degree
• Completion of a PGY1 residency or equivalent professional experience
• Eligibility for licensure in the state of Ohio
