Assistant Professor Non Doctoral

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction for undergraduate nursing students.
• Prepare educational content, assignments, and instructional materials.
• Evaluate student clinical and academic progress.
• Interact with health team members in cooperating clinical agencies to facilitate student learning.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the College of Nursing’s educational programs.
• Act as a leader and change agent to advance nursing education and practice.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree with a major in nursing (MS or MSN).
• Valid Illinois licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of two years of experience in clinical nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of official enrollment in a doctoral program.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably within a baccalaureate nursing program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, peers, and clinical agencies.
