About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach a 4-4 course load in the Marriage and Family Therapy program, covering theory, clinical practice, ethics, and therapeutic techniques.
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and evaluations, in alignment with academic and accreditation standards.
- Supervise MFT students during their educational journey and clinical internship experiences.
- Advise students on academic progress, professional development, and career planning.
- Participate in departmental meetings, program reviews, and accreditation activities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the program’s outcome-based education framework and curriculum.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Couple and Family Therapy.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or eligibility for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
- 3-5 years of significant clinical experience in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy.
- 1-2 years of previous teaching experience at the graduate level.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with COAMFTE accreditation standards.
- Ability to work evening hours for classes and university events.
Preferred Qualifications
- AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation or eligibility.
- Experience with in-person, online, and hybrid instructional methods.
