About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality instruction in engineering, computing, and AI at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in fields such as computational biology, robotics, cybersecurity, or digital health to support the Dassault Systèmes Center of Excellence.
- Integrate the 3DS Platform and advanced computational methods into course development, teaching, and research activities.
- Establish and maintain an independent research program and pursue innovative partnerships.
- Contribute to the service and academic mission of the School of Engineering and the broader university community.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, computational biology, computational chemistry, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing and digital design, particularly within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
- A proven record of academic and research excellence.
- Potential to establish an independent research program and a commitment to teaching excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching a variety of courses in engineering, computing, and AI at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Familiarity with the value chain for manufacturing next-generation diagnostics and treatments using simulation and multi-scale modeling.
- Expertise in VR/AR systems integration or digital health industry experience.
