About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching with an emphasis on project-based learning and student advising.
- Serve as Track Director for Health Studies in Vancouver, leading the development of new programming.
- Develop successful program proposals for British Columbia regulatory authorities.
- Curate curriculum for new bachelor’s programs, ensuring engagement with Indigenous communities.
- Manage faculty development, recruitment, workload, and course scheduling.
- Support student recruitment and retention while resolving academic concerns.
- Maintain a consistent program of research and peer-reviewed publications.
- Assist the Dean in executing strategic plans and continuous quality improvement programs.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DMSc, DNP) in healthcare, a health-adjacent field, or a degree near completion.
- Proven track record of teaching at the post-secondary level.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program development and evaluation.
- Demonstrated excellence in research with evidence of peer-assessed publications.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a satisfactory background check and provide a Social Insurance Number.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience securing external research funding.
- Experience with invited lectures, conference symposia, or working with Indigenous communities.
- Demonstrated research leadership potential.
