Assistant Professor, Graduate Nursing

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning through effective teaching and evaluation of learning in assigned courses
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum review, development, and implementation
• Assist with course scheduling and the development of clinical affiliations and student learning experiences
• Serve as an academic advisor, mentor, and advocate for students within the nursing program
• Maintain research and/or scholarship productivity
• Model the University Mission through dedicated job performance and respectful collaboration
• Provide service to both internal and external communities

Requirements

• MSN degree in nursing
• Minimum of two years of full-time clinical nursing experience
• Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois, or eligibility with an application in process

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in a relevant field
• Certification as an AGACNP or a PMHNP
• Experience in Healthcare Systems Leadership
