Assistant Professor for Athletic Counseling/Psychology

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Instruct courses such as Child/Human Development, Health Psychology, Research Methods, Motivation and Learning, or Psychology of Sport Injury
• Support graduate student research and provide mentorship
• Supervise fieldwork for students in the Athletic Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs
• Potentially advise students within the online graduate Counseling program

Requirements

• Earned degree in counseling, clinical psychology, or counseling psychology
• Specialty in sport or performance psychology or athletic counseling
• Must be listed on the AASP Registry of Approved Mentors
• Experience working with athletes and/or performers is highly recommended

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field
