earned degree in counseling or psychology, specialty in sport or performance psychology, AASP Registry of Approved Mentors listing, doctoral degree preferred, experience with athletes or performers
About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Instruct courses such as Child/Human Development, Health Psychology, Research Methods, Motivation and Learning, or Psychology of Sport Injury
- Support graduate student research and provide mentorship
- Supervise fieldwork for students in the Athletic Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs
- Potentially advise students within the online graduate Counseling program
Requirements
- Earned degree in counseling, clinical psychology, or counseling psychology
- Specialty in sport or performance psychology or athletic counseling
- Must be listed on the AASP Registry of Approved Mentors
- Experience working with athletes and/or performers is highly recommended
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
