Assistant Professor - Exercise Science

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate exercise science courses, including entry-level and upper-level specialty courses
• Manage approximately 12 credit hours per semester
• Coordinate with community partners to establish clinical experience sites for students
• Prepare course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and multimedia content
• Evaluate student performance through grading classwork, labs, and examinations
• Advise students on academic curricula, vocational paths, and career issues
• Participate in departmental and university-wide service, including committee work and program development
• Collect and analyze data for program and university assessment purposes

Requirements

• PhD or EdD in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or a related field
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and promote a collegial environment
• Commitment to the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching at the university level
