Assistant Professor-Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Responsibilities

• Teach within the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
• Engage in an ongoing program of scholarship and maintain a strong scholarly agenda
• Provide service to the department, the University, and the physical therapy profession
• Contribute to the university's research innovation ecosystem

Requirements

• PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent terminal academic degree
• 3-5 years of clinical experience
• Licensed or eligible for PT licensure in the state of New York
• Prior teaching experience in a classroom or clinical setting
• A proven record of peer-reviewed research

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in biomechanics, motor control, neuromuscular physical therapy, or research methodology
• Proven record as an active investigator with externally funded research (federal or corporate/industry)
• ABPTS certification
