Assistant Professor, Chiropody

Responsibilities

• Model and demonstrate best practices in clinical foot care in accordance with College of Chiropodists of Ontario standards
• Provide quality podiatric assessment, treatment, and care to referred or self-referred clients
• Foster an effective learning environment for students and clients at the clinic
• Evaluate student progress and achievement while providing feedback and remedial assistance
• Liaise with other faculty and staff at the Michener Institute

Requirements

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Chiropodist of Ontario
• Current CPR and basic first aid certification
• Current Vulnerability Sector Check
• Up to date immunizations
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree and/or Masters level education
• Experience working or teaching in the field within the last 12 months
• Certification by, and membership in OSC and CFPM
