About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the post-BSN to DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program, ensuring compliance with COA and CCNE accreditation standards.
- Serve as Assistant Director, supporting the Program Director in governance, curriculum development, recruitment, and evaluation.
- Teach graduate-level courses within the Nurse Anesthesia Program and other assigned nursing courses.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports, accreditation documents, and the Program Annual Report.
- Oversee student progression, including formative and summative evaluations and DNP project mentorship.
- Manage clinical affiliation agreements and coordinate with off-campus clinical sites and preceptors.
- Participate in marketing, recruitment, and enrollment efforts for the program.
Requirements
- 5+ years of clinical experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from a nationally accredited program.
- Current unencumbered RN/APRN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Current NBCRNA certification.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, curriculum development, and clinical evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a faculty member in a nursing education program.
- Experience with virtual or distance teaching modalities.
- Experience utilizing simulation in nursing or nurse anesthesia education.
