Assistant Prison Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist the Coordinator of Educational Programs in maintaining smooth operations of off-site programs at the London Correctional facility.
• Coordinate with on-site correctional educational coordinators to ensure student availability for classes.
• Manage student registration, maintain waiting lists, and assist with placement testing.
• Supervise computer labs and provide technical assistance to students.
• Provide tutoring to students as needed to support academic success.
• Act as a liaison between Sinclair Community College and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC).
• Oversee facilities and equipment related to program delivery while ensuring strict adherence to SCC and DRC security policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corrections or a closely related field.
• Proven knowledge of and professional experience working within the criminal justice system.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse constituents, including faculty, administrators, and inmates.
• Ability to pass a DRC background check.
• Ability to assist at other correctional facility sites as needed.
