Assistant Principal/Senior Hydraulic Modelling Engineer (Wastewater)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering teams on wastewater and drainage studies from feasibility through detailed design stages
• Supervise and review the work of Graduate Engineers on wastewater network modelling projects
• Set the technical direction for modelling studies and resolve complex technical issues
• Support and develop junior modelling staff to enhance team capabilities
• Liaise with lead business units and other design disciplines to ensure integrated and high-quality design solutions
• Build a professional profile in the industry by staying updated on technical innovations and developments

Requirements

• B.E in Civil Engineering and MS/M.Tech in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards Chartership
• Proven experience with InfoWorks ICM SE and InfoWorks CS modelling packages
• Strong technical knowledge of wastewater network model updates using manhole, CCTV, and flow surveys
• Significant experience using MapInfo GIS
• Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with InfoWorks ICM 2D, ArcGIS, and InfoNet
• Experience with flood alleviation schemes and integrated 1D/2D modelling
• Knowledge of SUDS, sewer rehabilitation, and water quality modelling
• Experience in resource management, line management, or project management of modelling scopes
• Familiarity with international codes and standards related to the UK water industry
