Assistant Plumber

Responsibilities

• Assist Master Plumbers with the installation of pipes, fixtures, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters
• Support the diagnosis of plumbing issues and assist in repairing leaks, clogs, and broken fixtures
• Prepare work areas by clearing and setting up job sites while ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure job sites are cleaned up after installations or repairs
• Carry tools and materials to various job sites across the campus

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems
• Ability to use various hand and power tools
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle tools, fittings, and small parts
• Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and materials (50+ lbs)
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and work in confined spaces or uncomfortable positions
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or vocational program
• 0–2 years of plumbing-related experience
• Prior experience in construction, maintenance, or facilities support
• Experience working in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
