Assistant Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in can manufacturing processes, equipment, and production flow
• Partner with the Plant Manager to drive performance aligned with company goals
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across production, engineering, quality, and continuous improvement
• Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence through process improvements
• Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Manage plant costs and support efficient, cost-effective operations
• Mentor and develop frontline leaders and supervisors
• Support employee engagement and a high-performance culture
• Serve as Acting Plant Manager during absences
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and food safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of manufacturing or operational excellence/continuous improvement experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
• Strong financial acumen with exposure to budgets and cost management
• Proven project management and organizational skills
• Ability to lead teams and build strong employee relations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Strategic thinker capable of connecting daily operations to long-term goals
