Assistant Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Support overall plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability targets.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS programs and KPIs.
• Provide cross-functional oversight across production, engineering, maintenance, and quality departments.
• Optimize plant efficiency and productivity through continuous improvement initiatives and resource planning.
• Ensure operations meet customer requirements, product specifications, and quality standards.
• Partner with Finance and Cost Control to support budget management and cost optimization.
• Foster a high-performance work culture and support employee engagement and relations.
• Collaborate with other plants to drive benchmarking, standardization, and best practice sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proven experience in manufacturing operations, production, engineering, or continuous improvement.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Six Sigma).
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional education in business or supply chain management.
• Experience in FMCG or high-speed packaging environments.
• Experience working within a unionized environment.
• Proficiency in Hindi.
