Assistant Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all operational aspects of the integrated coatings facility, including production, warehousing, and maintenance
• Drive execution on key site metrics such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost, and People
• Lead and develop a team of operational and functional leaders, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment
• Implement and advance a strong site culture centered around safety and Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Translate regional and global operations strategies into local execution to ensure efficient product flow
• Manage the operations budget through continuous productivity improvements and quality control
• Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset to drive daily enhancements in manufacturing processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience
• 5+ years of experience leading managers of people
• Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role
• Knowledge and experience leading in a Process Safety Management (PSM) environment or a highly regulated plant

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong chemical batch processing knowledge in a lean manufacturing environment
• Experience with Kaizen methodology and production systems
• Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, and grow talent within a large, complex organization
• Strong financial and analytical skills to maximize productivity and profitability
• Experience with Responsible Care management systems
• Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed reporting structure
