About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across the hotel portfolio
  • Manage payroll processing, administration, and month-end journals/accruals
  • Interpret and apply the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA) including penalty rates and overtime
  • Handle Single Touch Payroll (STP), superannuation, and payroll reporting
  • Conduct labour cost analysis, payroll auditing, and reconciliations
  • Provide payroll support and training to employees and operational leaders
  • Maintain data integrity and confidentiality within payroll systems

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a payroll role, ideally within hospitality or a multi-site environment
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting the HIGA award
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work requirements, and NES
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
  • Full Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Zambion or similar workforce management systems
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with People & Culture and Department Heads
