Assistant Patient Care Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and patient flow in the Infusion Therapy unit for the designated shift
• Complete daily quality audits and manage Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) boards
• Facilitate daily staff huddles to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
• Direct the delivery of care in a financially responsible manner
• Collaborate with the Patient Care Manager (PCM) to support unit changes and new programs
• Act as a change agent to identify issues and implement strategies to resolve patient care concerns
• Assume full responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Patient Care Manager

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
• Current Illinois RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of general nursing experience
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in the specific specialty area
• Demonstrated leadership skills through Charge Nurse experience
• Experience working in an academic medical center or a unionized environment
• Specialty certifications in relevant clinical areas
