About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide longitudinal academic coaching to pre-licensure nursing students to enhance clinical judgment and NCLEX-RN readiness.
- Lead structured NCLEX-RN outreach initiatives, including post-graduation preparation plans and individualized support for students.
- Develop and implement academic success plans using student performance data to identify and support at-risk students.
- Lead faculty development initiatives to train a cohort of faculty in clinical judgment pedagogy and NCLEX-style assessment design.
- Teach in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) day and BSN achieve programs.
- Collaborate with a student success team to ensure consistent messaging regarding academic expectations and professional accountability.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or a multistate license.
- Proven experience in nursing education, academic coaching, student advising, or curriculum support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCLEX-RN frameworks, clinical judgment models, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Experience using student performance data to inform academic interventions.
- Commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Elsevier products, including Performance Learning Plans.
- Faculty development or leadership experience in higher education.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and outcomes assessment in nursing education.
