About the role

Responsibilities

  • Advance a personal research agenda, including pursuit of funding, student mentorship, and dissemination of findings
  • Provide primary instruction and course development for didactic courses, primarily within the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
  • Participate in departmental service, including student recruitment, admissions, program evaluation, and accreditation tasks
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the missions of the University, College, and Department

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DPT); ABD candidates may apply if the degree is completed prior to the start date
  • Ohio Physical Therapy license or eligibility for Ohio licensure
  • At least two years of college-level teaching experience or equivalent
  • At least two years of relevant full-time professional work experience
  • Evidence of research productivity and a defined line of scholarly research
  • Demonstrated potential for securing extramural grant funding
  • Proficiency in computer technology and educational learning management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-doctoral research training or formal post-degree fellowships
  • Established research agenda with a record of peer-reviewed publications and national presentations
  • Experience as a primary investigator with successful internal or external research applications
  • Clinical or teaching experience in pediatrics or geriatrics
  • Experience mentoring student research projects
  • Active involvement in professional activities at local, state, or national levels
