About the role
Responsibilities
- Advance a personal research agenda, including pursuit of funding, student mentorship, and dissemination of findings
- Provide primary instruction and course development for didactic courses, primarily within the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
- Participate in departmental service, including student recruitment, admissions, program evaluation, and accreditation tasks
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the missions of the University, College, and Department
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DPT); ABD candidates may apply if the degree is completed prior to the start date
- Ohio Physical Therapy license or eligibility for Ohio licensure
- At least two years of college-level teaching experience or equivalent
- At least two years of relevant full-time professional work experience
- Evidence of research productivity and a defined line of scholarly research
- Demonstrated potential for securing extramural grant funding
- Proficiency in computer technology and educational learning management systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-doctoral research training or formal post-degree fellowships
- Established research agenda with a record of peer-reviewed publications and national presentations
- Experience as a primary investigator with successful internal or external research applications
- Clinical or teaching experience in pediatrics or geriatrics
- Experience mentoring student research projects
- Active involvement in professional activities at local, state, or national levels
