About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach clinical and foundational science coursework within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and other graduate health science programs
  • Engage in scholarly activity and research
  • Provide student advisement and mentorship
  • Perform service to the School of Health Sciences and Springfield College

Requirements

  • Earned academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, or DSc) in a relevant field such as physical therapy, anatomy, neuroscience, biomechanics, or exercise science
  • If a physical therapist, must hold or be eligible for licensure in Massachusetts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience in a higher education setting
  • American Board of Physical Therapy Specialist (ABPTS) designation
  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience
  • Established record of scholarly activity
