About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate electrical engineering courses and engineering service courses, such as Engineering Fundamentals.
  • Lead multidisciplinary capstone projects and provide student advising.
  • Conduct scholarly research suitable for a primarily undergraduate, teaching-focused institution.
  • Disseminate research findings within the discipline through peer-reviewed journals and other venues.
  • Serve on faculty committees within the Shiley School of Engineering and the broader University.
  • Participate in the University community and support the institution's mission and Catholic identity.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated teaching or instructional experience.
  • Proven research productivity with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • For Associate Professor rank: Achievement of tenure at an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching undergraduate engineering courses.
  • Expertise in digital systems design, embedded systems, and computer architecture.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in inclusive, student-centered, and evidence-based instructional practices.
