About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach and supervise students in both master's and doctoral programs
- Integrate Christian faith with counseling theory and practice
- Maintain excellence in teaching, research, and service
- Deliver instruction across face-to-face, digital distance-based, and hybrid modalities
- Support the mission of the School of Psychology and Counseling through a Christian paradigm and worldview
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program
- Current licensure as an LMFT or LPC (or ability to obtain Virginia licensure within several months of hire)
- Demonstrated expertise in marriage and family counseling or clinical mental health counseling
- Clear professional identity as a counselor educator
- Ability to teach across the counselor education curriculum
