Assistant or Associate Professor of Advanced Data and Information Security

Responsibilities

• Teach major courses in data, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence based on program requirements and industry needs
• Advise students regarding their academic and professional progress
• Participate in faculty committees and contribute to the broader college community
• Integrate faith and discipline in a compelling and thoughtful manner within the classroom
• Lead students in research related to data, information security, and artificial intelligence (desired)

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security/Assurance, or Cybersecurity
• Proven industry experience in a related field
• Graduate coursework in data analytics, data science, or related areas
• Affirmation of Montreat College's Statement of Faith and support for its Mission and Vision

Preferred Qualifications

• Earned doctorate or ABD status in a related field
• Research experience in advanced data or security topics
• Previous college-level teaching experience
• Professional industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM
